A perfectly serviceable romance on Netflix starring Haley Lu Richardson and Ben Hardy, I failed to invest because the two main characters were mayonnaise haters and I just couldn’t forgive them this egregious character flaw.

Mayonnaise? Really? Okay, perfectly serviceable is an adequate review, but where did this ingredient factor into the plot? Attention to detail is one thing but isn’t this a bit much? Just sayin’.

It wasn’t so much part of the plot but just such integral parts of their character that they were vocal about it without any prompting, a real bonding moment between two clearly tasteless people.

My mother and sisters would agree with you, which is why it was such a war in our home. We also had words over sour cream and cream cheese. And of course, I feel the same way about ketchup as they do about mayo. Can’t even stand the smell of it.

How did them hating mayonnaise even come up? But I’ll bet neither of them had ever tried chipotle mayonnaise–that’s a sure-fire way to convert anyone to mayo.
